Proceedings of Relating Systems Thinking and Design: RSD1, 2012
RSD1 featured keynotes by Harold Nelson and Peter Jones and 12 plenary presentations.
The first RSD Symposium was held as a two-day seminar organized by Birger Sevaldson and Marit Helgesen with Linda Blaasvær and Manuela Aguirre in the program committee. The RSD1 was held at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Keynote speakers were Harold Nelson and Peter Jones. The two-day event also encompassed a pre-seminar PhD workshop and a post-seminar core group meeting that launched lively discussions about how to follow-up.
The Relating Systems Thinking and Design Thinking seminar was a place to discuss how systems thinking and should and could be related to design thinking and design practice. RSD1 represented a stimulating array of presentations and mixed theory and practice, creating a setting that opened participants up to new ideas.
