Thanks to the artists who volunteered to share their graphic notes from the RSD9 session. Their collection of sketchnotes adds an important dimension to the proceedings and creates a visual aide-memoire that reflects the experience of RSD9. A special note to Manisha Laroia for thoughtfully designing the overall format and bringing artists to RSD9, and Patricia Kambitsch for sharing her knowledge and approach with the artists in an inspiring workshop.
I am currently in the 7th Semester of Product Design at NID-A. I come from a place called Gaya, which is in Bihar. I like to do more hands-on work (making and building stuff in the workshop). I am always interested in working on projects which are beneficial for the middle and lower societies with less of their investment, and also that makes them happy. About myself, I like to play football (which I am missing for the last six months) and video games (especially open-world ones). Also, I like to sing in many situations like when I am riding a motorcycle on highways or when I am super happy. Cooking and making my friends food to eat also gives me the same joy.
I am a Product Design student, currently doing my graduation project on e-textiles. I enjoy reading fiction and non-fiction, about new things alike. Recently, I have picked up gardening, tending to my kitchen garden, and houseplants as a pastime.

I have always been more comfortable expressing myself visually than through the confines of words.
It’s a crazy, mixed-up world out there. I hope to make art that invites us to feel, and comics that help us make sense of it all. I promote access to the creative arts through engaging, participatory events in Toronto where I work and live. I also draw live during meetings and events. My work as a graphic recorder and visual facilitator can be found at playthink.com.

I am a designer and researcher based in Bangalore, India. I’m passionate about uncovering insights buried in people’s actions, and environments to fuel the design of meaningful products and systems. I use sketchnoting as an effective way to forge connections between existing knowledge and new information and to capture the crux of it all for better recall. I’ve served as a graphic facilitator at several workshops and has also taught this powerful documentation tool to people across age-groups. I’m an alumna of NID, Ahmedabad.
I’m a spatial and experience designer based in India. My fascination lies in creating narratives and engagements that are evocative and explore the world of science, play, and culture in museums, game strategies, and informal learning spaces. I try to understand the world through the lens connecting dots and patterns. My sketchbooks are filled with patterns and sometimes, motion.
