This paper illustrates the outcome of an interdisciplinary and co-creative workshop on the role of empathy in designing digital transformations. The paper has a two-part contribution. Primarily, the paper concludes that empathy has a significant role in humanising digital transformation. Secondly, it highlights the value of adopting interdisciplinary, inter-sectoral education strategies with empathy as centrism to ensure that future designers can make digital transformation more humanised instead of merely human-centred.
